PTCL to Monetize 12 Non-core Assets Across Nine Cities to Fund Network Expansion

Islamabad, 12 Oct 2023:Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has resolved to monetize twelve of its non-core assets dispersed across nine cities in a strategy to amplify its financial robustness and enhance service capability. This decision comes in alignment with PTCL’s assertive strategies focusing on network and ICT infrastructure augmentation, as outlined in a press release by PTCL.

The properties, which have gained the necessary approvals for sale, are situated in Attock, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Kasur, Multan, Okara, Sadiqabad, and Sialkot. PTCL underscores adherence to rigorous compliance with relevant company policies and legal frameworks, with the transactions to be executed through a transparent auction process, abiding by governing rules to ensure equitable opportunities to all prospective buyers. The capital accrued from these transactions is slated to be channelled into the expansion of PTCL’s network and IT infrastructure, intending to augment connectivity and integrated ICT services across Pakistan.
