Punjab CM Approves Honhaar Scholarship for GB Students

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the Honhaar Scholarship for students from Gilgit-Baltistan. The initiative aims to support the educational pursuits of students from the region, especially those enrolled in professional educational institutions in Punjab.

According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson of the Gilgit-Baltistan government, Faizullah Firaaq, expressed gratitude for the Punjab government’s decision. He highlighted that the scholarship is a reflection of Punjab’s knowledge-friendly policy and described it as a goodwill gesture towards the students of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Honhaar Scholarship will provide financial assistance to eligible students, enabling them to continue their education in Punjab’s professional institutions. This development is seen as a positive step towards fostering educational ties and enhancing opportunities for students from Gilgit-Baltistan.
