Punjab CM Directs Institutions to Remain on High Alert During Heavy Rains

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz has directed all relevant institutions to remain on high alert during heavy rains across the province and ensure immediate drainage of rainwater.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a directive issued today, she directed the officials for continuous monitoring of WASA operations, storm drains, canals and drains, while ordering the Irrigation Department to remain fully alert.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also directed district administrations, Punjab Safe Cities Authority and traffic police teams to remain active and ensure smooth traffic flow on major roads and highways.
