Punjab CM Directs Subsidy Plan for Wheat Farmers

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given in-principle approval to launch phase II of projects for the Agriculture Department. Chairing a special meeting in Lahore, the Chief Minister directed the preparation of a plan to provide subsidies to wheat farmers on agricultural inputs such as fertilizer and seeds.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized that farmers will not be left unsupported, with assistance to be extended before the next wheat sowing season. The meeting also included briefings on other initiatives like the Green Tractor Scheme, Model Agriculture Centers, and the solarization of tubewells.
