Lahore: The Punjab Government has formally announced the creation of a scrutiny committee tasked with overseeing the hiring of 7,354 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) across public sector colleges in the province. This initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster educational standards and provide critical support to faculty at these institutions.
According to Higher Education Department – Government of The Punjab, the scrutiny committee will consist of the principal of the college and the two most senior faculty members. The committee’s mandate includes verifying the documents and credentials of each candidate and ensuring the accuracy of the marks calculation as shown on the application portal. Furthermore, the committee is responsible for recording any discrepancies or justifications regarding marks calculations, maintaining thorough documentation of their findings.
The committee has a deadline until October 10, 2024, to complete their evaluations and submit their findings to the Deputy Director of Colleges concerned. This process underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and transparency in the hiring practices within the public sector.
