Punjab Govt Allows Private Sector to Procure Wheat at Rs3500/40kg Next Year

Lahore: Punjab government and private sector have agreed on wheat procurement rate and mechanism for next year in the province. The private sector has been allowed to procure wheat from farmers at 3,500 rupees per forty kilogram.

According to Radio Pakistan, the decision to this effect was taken in a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore. It was informed that there is no shortage of wheat in Punjab and the province has sufficient reserves.
