Punjab Police Celebrates Successful Rescue of Constable in Kacha Region

Lahore: Punjab Police recently marked a significant achievement in the Kacha region with the safe rescue of Constable Ahmad Nawaz. Following the operation, IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with the constable’s family to celebrate his safe return and to underscore the department’s commitment to the safety of its officers.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 25 August 2024, the meeting with Constable Ahmad Nawaz’s family was an emotional moment that included his brother, father, uncle, and other relatives. During the gathering, Dr. Anwar personally congratulated the family, expressing his pleasure over the successful rescue operation and highlighting the importance of each member of the police force. He emphasized that the recovery of Constable Nawaz was a priority, reflecting the department’s dedication to the welfare of its personnel.

Dr. Anwar also reiterated the resolve of Punjab Police to act as a robust barrier against various threats, including terrorists and criminals, and affirmed the ongoing efforts to cleanse the Kacha area of criminal elements. Present at the occasion were several high-ranking officials, including Mohammad Kamran Khan, Additional IG South Punjab; Rai Babar Saed, RPO Bahawalpur; and Rizwan Umar Gondal, DPO Rahim Yar Khan, highlighting the collective effort and support for the mission.
