Lahore, In a commendable initiative, the Punjab Police has intensified its efforts to provide medical assistance and rehabilitation services to its ailing employees, reinforcing its commitment to the welfare of its workforce.
According to Punjab Police, recent financial aids underline the department’s dedication to the health and well-being of its staff. Lahore Police’s langri Sabqat ullah Khan received five lakh rupees for backbone treatment, while the family of the late sub-inspector Muhammad Qasim was granted one lakh rupees for liver and kidney care. Additionally, financial support was extended to other police personnel for various medical needs, including Nouman Asher for eye treatment and Assistant Director Humair Ahmad Qureshi for hernia surgery, with allocations reflecting the department’s responsive approach to urgent health crises among its members.
The initiative also extends to the families of deceased or martyred officers, ensuring they have access to necessary medical evaluations and treatments, as demonstrated by the directed support for the wife of Shaheed Muhammad Afzal from Sheikhupura.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of sustained health welfare activities, financed through police funds, to bolster the morale and well-being of police employees and their families.
