Punjab Youth Festival: Lahore, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala qualify for semifinals of Blind Cricket Tournament

Lahore, March 07, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Blind Cricket Teams of Lahore, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala defeated their respective opponents to book berth in the semifinals of Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) Blind Cricket Tournament being played the UET cricket ground.

Bahawalpur chased Faisalabads target of 48 runs comfortably in the first match and confirmedtheir place in the semifinals. Sahiwal toppled DG Khan by 10 wickets in the second encounter.In the next match of the day which turned out to be a one-sided affair, Lahore trounced Multanby nine wickets.

Lahore batsmen achieved the target of 71 runs in only fifth over of their innings.In the fourth and last match of the day, Gujranwala scripted a 10-wicket victory against Sargodha. Sargodha managed just 68 runs while playing first while Gujranwala batsmen chased the total without any loss. Both the semifinals will be played on 8th March.
