Qaim Ali Shah lays floral wreath at mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah along with Sindh Cabinet ministers

Karachi, May 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah laid a floral wreath and offered fateha at the mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Friday morning. Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani, Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Shehla Raza, Provinicial Ministers Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Mir Hazar Khan Bajrani, Manzoor Wassan, Makhdoom Jameel Zaman, Sharjeel Enam Memon, Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar and Advisor to CM Sindh Mr. Murad Ali Shah accompanied the Chief Minister Sindh. While talking to media persons Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that after taking oath along with Cabinet last night, he has arrived here to pay tribute to founding father of the Nation.

He said that Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah made great struggle for the creation of Pakistan and his vision and thoughts will be acted upon for progress and prosperity of people. He said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made struggle for the realization of the rights of downtrodden masses and sacrificed his life in the way.

He added the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto wanted the supremacy of constitution, strengtheng of the institutions and sacrificed her life for the protection of people’s rights. Chief Minister Sindh vowed to strictly implement the manifesto, vision and polices of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. He said that he served the people of Sindh in previous five years and this time again will not disappoint the people of Sindh.

CM Sindh said that people of Sindh have expressed their full confidence in PPP during May 11th General Election “Inspite of violence, terrorism and many other hardships and hurdles people voted for PPP for which we salute the sprit and conscience of the people of Sindh” he added.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party have rendered sacrifices for the rights of people and this time again we will work for the development and welfare of the people acting upon the guidelines and golden principles of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

CM Sindh said that president Mr. Asif Ali Zardari has also worked for the rights of people and for the prosperity and progress of the people his ideas would be implemented. CM Sindh sought cooperation of media for resolving real issues of the public, he hoped that media will guide in this connection.

Highlighting top priorities of the government CM Sindh said that for maintaining law and order, eradication of unemployment and poverty, urgent steps will be taken. He added that to control law and order coordination between Police and Rangers is need of hour. Police and Rangers require training, modern equipment and weapons.

He said that maintaining law and order in province with special focus on Karachi will be top priority of the provincial government. “Law and Order will be restored in province at any cast” he added. CM Sindh said that there was urgent need to raise the standard and quality of education in the province and in this connection urgent measures would be taken.

He said that our previous government enacted a law through Sindh Assembly for providing free education upto 8th class and giving annual stipend of Rs. 3000 to girl students for promotion of education. CM Sindh said 20,000 teacher were appointed on merit in previous government and present government will appoint more teachers on merit.

He added that appointments above grade 16 were made through SPSC or through other reputed institution. He said that previous government increased the salaries of teachers, police and other government employee’s considering the inflation and price hike. Replying query CM Sindh said there were problems regarding law and order which will be addressed on priority basis.

He said that performance of police and rangers have improved and many terrorists involved in heinous crimes were apprehended / arrested. Replying to another question CM Sind said that it would have been better if MQM had joined government but everyone has its own choice.

He said that in May 11th General Election 10 party alliance contested against PPP but they were badly defeated. He said that we salute the people of Sindh who voted for PPP considering the sacrifices and service rendenered by PPP leadership and on the basis of government performance during last five years. He said that large no of women voted for PPP which reflects the best performance of PPP.
