President Zardari Calls for Senate Session on Tuesday

Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari has officially summoned a session of the Senate to convene this coming Tuesday at 5:00 PM. The session is called to address undisclosed matters under the constitutional provision.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session is being convened under article 54(1) of the Constitution, which allows the President to summon either House of Parliament to meet at such time and place as he thinks fit. While the specific agenda for the session has not been disclosed, it is anticipated that key legislative and national issues will be discussed.
