Rain-triggered floods disrupt road link b/w Balochistan & Sindh

The road link between Balochistan and Sindh has been badly disrupted by floods caused by torrential rains.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Balochistan, due to heavy downpour, Sibi-Quetta section on Sukkur-Quetta N-65 Highway was blocked, cutting off Balochistan’s link to Sindh.

It said highways connecting Harnai to Sanjawi, Gandhawa to Notal, Sibi to Kohlu, and Pinjra Bridge road in Bolan were also blocked.

Responding to the emergency situation, Balochistan government has released 150 million rupees flood relief funds to the district administrations of all 36 districts of the province. A control room has also been set up to monitor the relief activities.
