Rapidly spreading Monkeypox outbreak can be averted with right strategies: WHO

World Health Organization says rapidly spreading Monkeypox outbreak can be stopped with the right strategies in the right groups.

Speaking at the regular press briefing in Geneva, Technical Lead on Monkeypox Dr Rosamund Lewis warned that time is going and we all need to pull together to make that happen.

Dr Rosamund Lewis said through this, we hope to enhance coordination, cooperation of countries and all stakeholders, as well as global solidarity.

WHO assessed the risk posed to public health by Monkeypox in the European region as high but at the global level as moderate.
