Rear Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi takes over as Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Imdad Hussain Jafri as Commander Logistic Pakistan Navy

Karachi, May 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): Two impressive change of Command ceremonies for Pakistan Navy Fleet Command and Logistics Command were held at PN Dockyard. Rear Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi took over prestigious Command of the Sea going units as Commander Pakistan Fleet and Rear Admiral Syed Imdad Hussain Jafri has taken over Pakistan Navy Logistic Command.

Rear Admiral Z M Abbasi, Commander Pakistan Fleet, is now the operational in charge of all PN Platforms/Ships, Submarines, Missile boats and Aviation units of Pakistan Navy. Whereas, Commander Logistic, Rear Admiral Imdad Hussain Jafri would be in charge of logistic support to all PN units, Ships and establishments.

He would also be looking after all PN stores and ammunition depots and would also be responsible for all logistic support/construction units, and repair/maintenance facilities of Pakistan Navy. At the change of command ceremonies, the newly appointed officers were presented guard of honour and were introduced to the Commanding Officers of the respective units of their commands.
