Reforms Underway to Make BISP More Transparent: Rubina Khalid

Skardu: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, Rubina Khalid, announced that reforms are being introduced to enhance the effectiveness, transparency, and accessibility of the programme. Her statements were made during a visit to the BISP Zonal Office and Development Center in Skardu, where she engaged with the local community.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rubina Khalid assured the attending women that their issues would be addressed with priority. She emphasized that, with the support of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, there is a concerted effort to modernize the financial assistance provided to deserving families.

Rubina Khalid also revealed a new initiative involving the distribution of free SIMs to BISP beneficiaries. This move aims to integrate a digital wallet system as part of the ongoing reforms, seeking to streamline processes and improve service delivery to the people in need.
