Karachi: Rehan Javed has been appointed as the representative of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, a move aimed at addressing the pressing energy issues faced by the city’s traders. Javed’s appointment is seen as strategic, given his expertise in dealing with NEPRA, K-Electric, SSGC, and the broader energy sector.
According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, President Junaid Naqi expressed confidence in Javed’s ability to guide industrialists and the business community through the complexities of energy management and problem resolution. Naqi emphasized that Javed’s role is crucial for taking effective measures to restore and boost the economy through the platform provided by the Karachi Chamber.
On his part, Rehan Javed expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to leveraging his capabilities to advocate for and support the business community, especially in mitigating the challenges posed by the high costs of electricity and gas which impair the competitive environment for Karachi’s businessmen.
