Religious Ministry to Make Hajj Operations Transparent, Efficient: Yousuf

Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, announced that the Religious Ministry is implementing a vigorous strategy to enhance financial discipline, accountability, and digital monitoring in Hajj operations. The aim is to make the process more transparent and efficient.

According to Radio Pakistan, Yousuf shared the previous year’s performance of the Religious Ministry during the concluding session of the Pakistan Governance Forum 2026 held in Islamabad. He highlighted the ministry’s efforts to improve the Hajj experience by refunding three point five billion rupees to seventy-five percent of Hajj pilgrims last year.

Yousuf further noted that Saudi Arabia recognized Pakistan’s efforts by awarding the country the Excellence Award for organizing the best Hajj arrangements last year. This accolade underscores the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the Hajj pilgrimage experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
