Rich tributes paid to Qazi Nisar in IHK

Srinagar, June 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leaders, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Zafar Akbar Butt have paid glowing tributes to prominent scholar and founder of Ummat-e-Islami Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmad on his 19th martyrdom anniversary.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Zafar Akbar Butt, addressing a function in Islamabad town highlighted the political and religious services of Qazi Nisar Ahmad. They added that with the death of Qazi Nisar the people of Kashmir had deprived of a great leader

The APHC leaders expressed serious concern over the plight of illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and Jammu and demanded their shift to the Valley prisons. They also reiterated the demand for return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru from Delhi’s Tihar jail to Kashmir.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Zafar Akbar Butt also appealed to the world community and international human rights organizations to take notice of political detainees’ plight in jails and help in their unconditional release.

Meanwhile, an APHC delegation led by Musaddiq Aadil visited Sopore to express solidarity the with the two Kashmiris, Pervez Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad who were recently released after serving several years in Indian jails without any crime.
