Romina Calls on Businesses to Embrace Eco-Friendly Practices

Faisalabad: Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, has called on the business community to integrate environmentally sustainable practices to help achieve Pakistan’s climate objectives. Her remarks came during a meeting with representatives from the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Alam emphasized the government’s dedication to tackling climate change through strategic policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions and fostering sustainable development within various industries.

She urged the industrial sector to explore incorporating the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism policy, which could help local industries lessen their environmental impact.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and the business community in addressing the climate crisis.
