Sahiwal Coal Power Plant, being completed at a cost of one hundred ninety two billion rupees will generate thirteen hundred twenty megawatts electricity.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said this while talking to newsmen during the visit of Sahiwal Coal Power Plant in Sahiwal on Sunday.
The Chief Minister said it is the first energy project to be completed speedily under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor will help minimize load shedding in country.
Shahbaz Sharif said international standards have been met in the plant regarding environmental protection.
He appreciated the work of Chinese engineers and workers in this regard.
