Sales Tax Refunds for Exporters to Be Disbursed by November 1

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue has announced that it will disburse all pending Sales Tax Refund Payment Orders for exporters, totaling Rs. 32 billion, on November 1, 2024. This directive comes from the Chairman of the FBR and pertains to refunds processed in the faster system up to September 30, 2024.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the decision to release the funds was made to expedite financial relief for exporters who have pending sales tax refunds. The move aims to enhance liquidity for businesses involved in exports, potentially boosting economic activity in the sector. The refunds are part of the government’s efforts to streamline tax processes and reduce financial bottlenecks for the export industry.
