SBP Directed to Release Ramazan Relief Funds Immediately

Islamabad: Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Syed Imran Ahmed Shah chaired a review meeting in Islamabad today on the Ramazan Relief Package to ensure smooth and timely assistance to beneficiaries. Addressing the participants, the Minister directed the State Bank of Pakistan to immediately begin crediting Ramazan relief funds to beneficiaries’ accounts.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized uninterrupted disbursement and ordered that pending beneficiary bank accounts be opened on a priority basis. Later, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah visited the control room established to monitor the disbursement of the Prime Minister’s Ramazan Relief Package.

The real-time dashboard revealed that nearly two hundred thousand calls have been received so far, with over ninety-five thousand resolved through the IVR system and around twenty-three thousand handled by call agents.
