SCBA, PBC term criticism against top court’s judges as unjustified, irrational

Terming criticism against Supreme Court judges as unjustified and irrational, the Pakistan Bar Council and the Supreme Court Bar Association have demanded of the institutions concerned to take immediate measures to stop such kind of vilification.

Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad today, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Haroon-ur-Rashid seconded Election Commission’s decision of taking back the election symbol from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf for not organizing intra-party polls.

President Supreme Court Bar Association Shahzad Shaukat called for stopping the tendency of unfounded criticism on judges and institutions.

He said the lawyers’ bodies are standing by the judges and will not tolerate indecent criticism against them.
