Secretary General OIC meets secretary education

Islamabad, August 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): Secretary General Organization of Islamic countries (OIC) H.E Iyad Ameen Abdullah Madani called on secretary ministry of Federal Education and professional training Mohammad Ahsan Raja and discussed the matters of mutual interest. Both of them agreed to enhance cooperation in the different fields among the Muslim Countries especially in the field of education and culture. The honourable secretary general pointed out that youth of the Muslim countries knows more about the history culture and values of the Europe than about the Brotherly Islamic countries.

He wished that the Muslim youth should learn more about each other and there must be more cultural exchange programs. The secretary ministry pointed out that there is lot of love and affection prevailing in Pakistan for the Muslim Ummah.

The people of Pakistan have zeal and love to work with the Arz-e- Muqaddas and every category of workforce is working there, there are skilled, educated, highly skilled and even unskilled. The Secretary also expressed his high expectations about the role played by the Pakistan as per his count the country has made a lot of improvement in the field of higher education and it has some good ranking universities to offer quality education to students coming from Muslim countries especially from Africa.

His Excellency Secretary General observed that nothing matches the experience of four or five year in another country and asked the secretary Education to provide the data of university if any is part of the exchange program. The student does not only need financial support but also academic support. The universities are not only centre for providing opportunities to the students people will go and like to see how they can inject more life into it. The honourable secretary ministry requested the delegation to be more scientific rather than being general in approach because it relates to Ummah. He further said that Pakistan has done a lot of great work and has one of the excellent human resources. The superior right to the resources lies with the Ummah.

In the end secretary General (OIC) stressed the need to translate the good wishes and intentions into doable or actionable things and (OIC) need more from Pakistan. The secretary ensured full cooperation with the OIC and ICESCO.
