According to Radio Pakistan, Khawarij advanced toward the Azizkhel and Mandikhel areas after crossing into Pakistani territory. Due to the presence of security forces, they took refuge in a mosque in the Besikhel area.

Security forces immediately surrounded the mosque. Due to a well-executed strategy of the security forces, Khawarij surrendered. All arrested Khawarij are Afghan nationals, and three of them were carrying Afghan national identity cards. They have been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
