Security Forces Eliminate Eight Khwarij in Coordinated Operations

Qila Abdullah: Security forces have successfully neutralized eight Khwarij in two separate operations in the Qila Abdullah and Bannu districts. The incidents underscore the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in Pakistan.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, five Khwarij, including two suicide bombers, were killed during an attempted assault on a security post in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah. The attackers, thwarted by military personnel, resorted to detonating an explosive-laden vehicle against the perimeter wall of the post.

The confrontation resulted in the deaths of two soldiers, Naik Tahir Khan and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal, who were lauded for their bravery during the intense exchange of fire. A sanitization operation is currently underway in the area to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.

In a separate incident in the Bannu district, three Khwarij were killed and nine others injured during an intelligence-based operation in the Jani Khel area. Security forces are conducting further operations to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threats in the region.

The continued operations reflect the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism, with officials emphasizing that such sacrifices only fortify their resolve.
