Security Forces Eliminate Eight Militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

Islamabad: Security forces have successfully killed eight militants in two distinct operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, demonstrating a firm stance against terrorism.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the operations were intelligence-based and targeted the presence of militants known as Khwarij. The first operation took place in the Tank District, resulting in the death of six militants. Another encounter occurred in the Tirah Valley, Khyber District, where two additional militants were neutralized.

The statement from the ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) emphasized ongoing sanitization efforts to ensure the region is cleared of militants. The determination to eradicate terrorism was reaffirmed.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his support for the security forces, acknowledging their efforts in eliminating the militants. He stressed the nation’s unity with its security forces in the battle against terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for their actions. He reiterated that terrorist plans would continue to be thwarted and highlighted the nation’s pride in the bravery of its security personnel. The Prime Minister confirmed that both the government and security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country.
