Karachi: Security Papers Limited (SPL) has strengthened its commitment to community well-being by donating medical equipment valued at over PKR 2.8 million to Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital in Karachi. This contribution aims to enhance diagnostic and treatment services in the hospital’s cardiology, dermatology, medical, and surgical departments.
SPL’s team, led by Chief Executive Officer Imran Qureshi, visited the hospital to officially hand over the equipment. The team also toured the hospital’s new Dilution Centre, a facility designed to improve patient safety and medicine preparation standards.
Imran Qureshi emphasized the necessity of accessible healthcare, stating that all citizens deserve quality medical care, regardless of their financial situation. The support from SPL ensures that Civil Hospital Karachi can continue providing essential care to patients at no cost.
As one of Karachi’s largest public healthcare facilities, Civil Hospital Karachi serves thousands of underprivileged patients daily. The donation is expected to improve the hospital’s ability to provide timely diagnoses and enhance patient outcomes, especially in critical cardiac and clotting conditions.
Dr. S. M. Khalid Bukhari, Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital, expressed gratitude for SPL’s support, highlighting the direct impact the new machines will have on patient care by increasing the hospital’s capacity for accurate and effective treatment.
This initiative reflects SPL’s broader mission to empower communities and contribute to sustainable social impact.
