Lahore: Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has called for concerted efforts to address the issue of climate change, emphasizing its importance for ensuring a sustainable and inclusive future. His remarks came during the closing session of the first joint regional conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Asia and Southeast Asia, held at the Punjab Assembly in Lahore.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Gilani underlined the crucial role of parliaments in driving change to tackle global challenges. He highlighted the ongoing struggles of South and Southeast Asia with poverty and inequality, urging regional collaboration and shared responsibility to address these pressing issues.
