Karachi: The Government of Pakistan has dispatched a fifty-ton consignment of humanitarian aid to assist war-affected communities in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. This shipment, organized under the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was sent from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) collaborated with Al-Khidmat Foundation to prepare the aid package. The relief items were sent via a chartered flight to Jordan, marking another effort by Pakistan to support those impacted by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
The latest consignment includes essential supplies such as tin meat, powdered milk, hygiene kits, clothing, blankets, tents, and sleeping bags. These items are aimed at providing immediate relief to those in need.
The send-off ceremony in Karachi was attended by senior officials from the NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Al-Khidmat Foundation. This demonstrates a concerted effort by government and non-governmental organizations to respond to humanitarian needs.
To date, Pakistan has dispatched over 1,800 tons of relief items to Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, reflecting its commitment to aiding populations in crisis.
