Senator Rubina Khalid Announces Increase in Benazir Income Support Programme Payments

Islamabad: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has announced an increase in the quarterly installment for the program’s beneficiaries. Starting in January 2025, the Benazir Kafalat installment will rise from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500, providing additional support to deserving women.

According to Press Information Department, the announcement was made during a ceremony at the BISP Head Office, where Senator Khalid, alongside Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad and Additional Secretary Dr. Tahir Noor, marked the occasion with a cake-cutting event. Senator Khalid emphasized the dedication of the year to the Benazir Hunarmand Program, which seeks to empower families by offering skill training in fields aligned with global trends. This initiative aims to enable participants to achieve economic independence.

Senator Khalid expressed a commitment to serving underprivileged communities with integrity and determination through the BISP platform. She also offered New Year greetings to the citizens of Pakistan, underscoring BISP’s role as a source of hope and positive change for the country’s underprivileged.
