Shehbaz Sharif Takes Notice of Flood Situation in Islamabad’s Residential Areas

Islamabad: Taking notice of the flood situation in residential areas along the nullahs and streams in different areas of Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the district administration and CDA to take prompt measures for rescuing people and dewatering.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement today (Wednesday), he instructed to take safety measures for the populations living in low-lying areas around the nullahs and streams. He also directed the health sector to be on high alert and take measures ensuring protection against water-borne diseases.

The Prime Minister also constituted a committee for monitoring the flood situation, the rescue operation and safety of the people.
