Shutdown in Pulwama area on martyr’s first anniversary

Srinagar, March 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Bellow area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the first martyrdom anniversary of a Kashmiri freedom activist, Shahbaz Ahmed Wani.

Wani was killed along with his associate, Farooq Ahmed Hura, by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Padgampora area of Awantipora in Pulwama on 26th March, last year.

All shops and other business establishments are closed in the area while traffic is off the road. Meanwhile, people are visiting the residence of the martyr and his grave to offer Fateha.
