Sindh Government to hold local bodies’ election in March 2014: Qaim Ali Shah

Karachi, December 11, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that Sindh Government intend to hold local bodies election in the safe and secure atmosphere in the month of March 2014, when there will be very pleasant spring season in the province.

Talking to the mediamen after MoU signing ceremony at CM House today the Chief Minister Sindh re-iterated that good achievements of targeted operation against terrorists have been gained and in this stage we cannot bifurcate our forces into the parts and other duties, which may create space for the criminals to take sigh or to flee away or to be re-organized.

He said that in the month of March we will be in a position to control over the situation. To another question, the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Chief Secretary Sindh and Advocate General were in communication with election commission of Pakistan and in case of denial from ECP we to take this matter to Sindh Cabinet and to decide our future course of action with consultation of cabinet members.

The Chief Minister Sindh said that we are actively working to overcome the energy crises and many companies either have been engaged to generate coal and wind based energy by exploiting indigenous sources of energy and added that today signing of 3 MoU was the part of these efforts. He said that by these MoU huge foreign investment is coming in the Pakistan / Sindh Province to overcome on power crises. He said that soon we to commission the Thar Coal Power Project.
