Karachi: The Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Navy during Navy Day celebrations, held at the Pakistan Navy Unit PNS Bahadur. The ceremony, characterized by its simplicity and dignity, honored the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori, serving as the chief guest, emphasized the nation’s profound respect for the veterans and martyrs’ steadfast determination and bravery, particularly during the 1965 war. He highlighted the legendary courage and sacrifices of the naval forces, which continue to resonate worldwide. Special tribute was paid to Vice Admiral Ahmed Tasneem, a two-time Shujaat Medal awardee, whom Governor Tesori described as a proud son of the nation.
The event also saw the participation of Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem, who expressed gratitude towards Governor Tesori for his recognition of the naval forces. Rear Admiral Saleem reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime borders and resources. Governor Tesori concluded the day by meeting with the families of the martyrs, acknowledging the nation’s debt to them for their irreplaceable losses.
