A significant outcome of this meeting is the decision to establish a Securities and Emergency Training Institute in the Malir Chowkundi area of Karachi.
According to Sindh Police, the new institute will offer specialized courses for various units including the Janis, bomb disposal squad, and rescue services. The DIG Securities and Emergency Services Division provided a comprehensive briefing on the objectives of the institute, outlining the planned training programs and the ongoing preparations for equipping the facility with necessary weapons and training materials. The initiative also involves collaboration with international training experts to ensure the incorporation of innovation and quality in all courses offered.
IG Sindh emphasized the urgent need for modern and standardized training for all Sindh Police personnel, reflecting on the current security demands and challenges. He noted the national significance of the training centers operated by the Sindh Police, expressing pride in their contributions to law enforcement training across the country. Memon highlighted the critical role of the new institute in preparing for emerging threats related to terrorism and evolving crime tactics, urging the Sindh government to swiftly prepare and submit comprehensive proposals for the establishment and development of the institute.
