Sindh Public Service Commission Postpones Interviews Due to Public Holiday

Hyderabad: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has announced the postponement of interviews originally scheduled for August 20, 2024, due to the observance of a public holiday across Sindh. The holiday, declared to honor the Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A.), has necessitated the rescheduling of these important recruitment processes for various governmental positions.

According to Public Service Commission Sindh announcement issued on 17 August 2024, the notification aligns with the Government of Sindh’s earlier declaration of the holiday, underscoring the significance of the Urs celebrated statewide. The SPSC has informed all candidates who qualified in written tests that the interviews for positions in different departments, initially set for this date at the SPSC’s main office in Hyderabad and its regional office in Karachi, will be rescheduled. The new dates for these interviews will be announced in due course, providing candidates sufficient time to prepare amidst the changes.

This decision reflects the SPSC’s commitment to ensuring that all candidates have the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process without the constraints of overlapping significant cultural observances.
