Slapping of PSA on TeH leader denounced

Srinagar, June 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has strongly denounced the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on its leader and President for Kupwara district, Muhammad Yousuf Lone.

The TeH in a statement in Srinagar said that Indian police had arrested the party leader when he was on his way to Kanthpora in Lolab to attend the funeral prayers of a youth who was martyred by Indian troops. Muhammad Yousuf Lone has been lodged at Baramulla jail, it said.

The TeH termed the invoking of PSA on Muhammad Yousuf Lone as frustration of the puppet authorities.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in a statement in Srinagar condemned in strong terms the arrest of youth and Hurriyet activists across the territory particularly in Kulgam, Pulwama and Sopore by Indian police. He said that such tactics could not suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement.
