SME bank financing crosses Rs500b first time in history: SBP

Small and Medium Enterprise financing by banks in the country has first time crossed the milestone of 500 billion rupees.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, SME financing is recorded at 513 billion rupees at the end of current financial year as compared to 450 billion rupees in the last corresponding year, exhibiting growth of 14 percent.

The growth in SME financing is even more prominent in the last six months of current fincial year wherein it registered an increase of 25 percent.
