SMEDA organises training programme on Brand Development and Marketing for SMES

Lahore, September 20, 2016 (PPI-OT): The SMEs in Pakistan can increase its share in the world market by developing brands for their products. It was observed by an International Market Expert trained by University of Wales U.K Mr. Nadeem Mustafa while addressing a training program arranged by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) on “Brand Development and Marketing for SMEs”. The program was also addressed by Mian Muhammad Ijaz, President, Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Raja Hassnain Javed, Provincial Chief SMEDA, Punjab.

Mr. Nadeem Mustafa said that the recent customer focus on brands and existing competition in the globalized markets had urged the businesses to successfully build and market exclusive brands. The businesses, specifically Small and Medium enterprises, increasingly need to upgrade knowledge and skills to effectively develop and market brands of their products and services, he added.

President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Muhammad Ijaz appreciated SMEDA to organize a training program on brand development in collaboration with his Chamber. He said, it is need of the hour to prepare for the augmenting competition in the world market and SMEDA has arranged the training on a very right time. He hoped that the individuals including small business owners and Managers in Brand, Sales, Marketing, FMCG, Retail, Distribution, Customer Services and Exports from and around Gujrat would get the fullest benefit from this training.

Provincial Chief SMEDA Punjab Raja Hassnain Javed, while speaking at concluding ceremony of the program, assured the business community that SMEDA would keep on delivering demand based capacity building services to the business community, and programs of the similar nature would also be conducted in other cities.

It is notable that the full day training had described practical strategies and demonstrated tools and skills for successfully developing and marketing brands to attain higher market share and profitability. The trainer Mr. Nadeem Mustafa explained in detail the benefits of strong brands, role and importance of branding in SMEs, process of establishing successful brands, identifying the right customers to sell, protecting brand name, producing the right products for customers, selecting a suitable price, persuading and motivating the customers to buy brand, maintaining and increasing the long term sales for brands

The participants of the program expressed satisfaction as they had been able to learn necessary frameworks and tools for building and marketing brands.
