Sopori expresses solidarity with family of martyred youth

Srinagar, May 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, along with a delegation visited Model Town area of Sopore and expressed solidarity with the family of martyred youth, Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi.

Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi, son of Hurriyat leader Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Amshipora area of Shopian, yesterday.

Khan Sopori speaking on the occasion paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth. He strongly condemned the use of brute force on peaceful protesters by Indian forces’ personnel. He said, on one side, Kashmiri youth are being killed while on the other, the people of Kashmir are not being allowed to mourn their killing. He said India has declared a war against the innocent people of Kashmir as youth are being killed on daily basis.

Khan Sopori appealed to the peace-loving nations of the world to take cognizance of the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory and play role in the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in its historic perspective according to the will of the Kashmiri people.

The delegation also included Syed Muhammad Shafi, Haji Muhammad Ramzan, Nazeer Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf and Barkat Ahmed.
