Jammu, July 04, 2023 (PPI-OT): A Special Police Officer (SPO) committed suicide in Kathua district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The SPO identified as Avinash Sharma committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle while on duty at the post in Hiranagar area of the district. The motive behind Sharma’s distressing decision remains unclear.
A video on social media shows the young SPO dead with his gun lying around. It also shows the melancholic family members of the SPO talking to his colleagues in anger. His family has said foul play and demanded a fair probe.
