Spotify Now in ChatGPT, Turning Your Prompts into Personalized Picks

Karachi: Spotify has unveiled a new integration with ChatGPT that offers personalized music recommendations directly within chat conversations. This feature is now available in English across 145 countries on both free and paid ChatGPT accounts. It is accessible on web and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android, enabling Spotify users to discover music based on their preferences through simple prompts.

Users can link their Spotify accounts to ChatGPT to receive curated recommendations, request playlists by mood, genre, or artist, and listen directly within the Spotify app. This integration is part of Spotify’s ongoing effort to expand its presence across more than 2,000 devices, including cars, televisions, and smart home systems.

This new feature provides a conversational method for discovering music, helping users find new tracks or revisit old favorites. It also presents a new avenue for artists to reach potential fans. Each chat has the potential to introduce users to new music, whether they are inquiring about local artists, crafting a specific playlist, or seeking a song that fits their mood.

Sten Garmark, Spotify’s SVP, Global Head of Consumer Experience, stated, “Spotify’s vision has always been to be everywhere you are. By bringing Spotify into ChatGPT, we’re creating a powerful new way for fans to connect with the artists and creators they love conversationally, whenever inspiration strikes.”

Spotify ensures that artists’ and creators’ work remains protected with this integration and confirms that no music, podcasts, or other audio or video content will be shared with OpenAI for training purposes.
