Swat snow festival from 12 to 16 March

Rawalpindi, March 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): A Snow festival is being organized in the picturesque and serene valley of swat at Malam Jabba, like the previous years. The regularity in conduct of the festival, keen interest of tourists and enthusiasm of local populace not only hints the increasing activities of tourism but also proves to be an important milestone in conversion of the dream of permanent peace in to a reality at Malakand Division.

The festival does not only accommodates requirements of the tourists but also affords ample opportunities of entertainment for the local populace. Snow sports events like Paragliding, Hang gliding, tobogganing and aero modeling have been arranged under the auspices of professionals. Whereas special funfair activities have also been managed for women and children.

A grand music gala has also been arranged incorporating country’s renowned singers and bands. The snow festival will continue with traditional as well as cultural fervour for five days from 12 to 16 March 2014. The opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted on 12 and 16 March 2014 respectively. Dignitaries from all walks of life are likely to participate along with tourists and local populace.
