Tahir Ashrafi Lauds PM Shehbaz’s Successful Saudi Visit

Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for finalizing a mutual defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Addressing a press conference in Lahore today alongside Christian leaders, he termed the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia as highly successful.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ashrafi highlighted the establishment of the Payam-e-Aman Committee, which aims to promote love and brotherhood across Pakistan. He strongly condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and announced that a Palestine conference would be held at the United Nations on Monday to present a unified and sustainable stance for the oppressed people of Palestine.

Moderator Bishop Azad Marshall, speaking at the event, welcomed the defence pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, indicating it was a positive development for the Christian community as well. He praised the strength and courage of Pakistan’s armed forces, noting their capability to defeat an enemy four times larger.
