Tanveer Calls for Enhancing Trade Ties with Iran

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain held a significant meeting with the Ambassador of Iran in Islamabad. They discussed bilateral agricultural trade and cooperation between the two countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Iran, particularly in the agricultural sector. He highlighted Pakistan’s capacity to export high-quality rice, mangoes, and halal meat to Iran, offering potential to meet Iran’s growing demand.

Both sides explored opportunities for mutual capacity building in agricultural research as well as renewable energy use in agriculture.
