Tanveer Reviews Current Situation of Sugar Pricing

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has urged all stakeholders to cooperate fully with the government to ensure smooth supply and fair pricing of sugar across the country. He was speaking while chairing a high-level meeting with representatives of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and other stakeholders in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was convened to review the current situation of sugar pricing and compliance with the government’s notified ex-mill rate of 165 rupees per kilogram. The Minister emphasized that the government will not tolerate market manipulation that unfairly burdens the common citizen.
