Technical, Vocational Training System Being Aligned with Int’l Standards: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the pivotal role of over twelve million overseas Pakistanis in serving as a robust bridge between Pakistan and other countries. In his message marking International Migrants Day, he underscored the importance of this community in fostering global connections.

According to Radio Pakistan, the theme for this year’s International Migrants Day, ‘My Great Story: Cultures and Development,’ underscores the positive impact of large-scale human mobility, highlighting it as a significant driver of prosperity and mutual benefits. The Prime Minister pointed out that the government is working towards aligning Pakistan’s technical and vocational training systems with international standards to better meet global requirements.

By focusing on enhancing the skills of its workforce, the government aims to ensure that overseas Pakistanis can continue to contribute effectively to the global economy, while also boosting the domestic economic landscape through knowledge transfer and remittances.
