Islamabad, June 12, 2023 (PPI-OT): Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani has said that improving the communication system in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Bannu, is the responsibility of the current government. is the first priority. He has said that the construction of the motorway from Isa Khel Interchange to Ghulam Khan Afghan Border will open new avenues of development in the region and provide new employment opportunities to the local population. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly said that the present government is taking special measures for the construction and development of the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the construction of motorway from Isa Khel Interchange to Ghulam Khan Afghan border will improve travel facilities as well as improve Pak-Afghan trade. He said that for the feasibility of this project, the federal government has allocated substantial funds in the budget of the current fiscal year.
General Manager National Highway Authority Shoaib Dogar while giving a detailed briefing to the Deputy Speaker on the motorway project from Isa Khel Interchange to Ghulam Khan said that the feasibility study of this project will be prepared keeping in mind the ground realities and ensure that It will be made so that the people of the area get maximum benefit from this project. He said that this motorway will be 165 kilometers long, which will pass through Marwat, Bannu, Miran Shah and reach Pak-Afghan border. He assured Deputy Iskar that this project will be very beneficial for Pak-Afghan trade along with providing better travel facilities.
