The Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan administered the oath of office to Honourable Mr. Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan as Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan today

Islamabad: The Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary administered the oath of office to Honourable Mr. Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan as Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan today i.e. 24.03.2012 at Government House, Kashmir point Murree in a simple but dignified ceremony.

Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Chief Justice and Judges of Federal Shariat Court, Chief Justices and Judges of Islamabad and other Provincial High Courts. Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court, Chief Justice of the Gilgit Baltistan Supreme Court, Attorney General for Pakistan, Secretary Election Commission, officers of Election Commission and Supreme Court also attended the ceremony.

Dr. Faqir Hussain, Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan conducted the proceedings of ceremony.
